A more compact plant than other bush cherries, grows beautiful, large, dark red cherries. Reaches 1.5-2.4 m (5-8′) at maturity. Heavy yields, up to 10-15 kg (22-33 lb) per plant. The tart cherries are ideal for cooking, and sweet enough for fresh eating. Showy clusters of fragrant white flowers, followed by beautiful, bright red fruit that has a high sugar content. Leaves turn yellow in the fall. Self-pollinating. Developed by the University of Saskatchewan after 50 years of breeding work.

Depth
Dig a hole twice as large as the root ball, loosening the soil in the bottom of the hole. Plant at the same depth as the soil in the pot.

Requirements
Full sun. Grows best in average to evenly moist conditions. pH level of 4.5-7.5. Cherry plants prefer a rich, well-drained soil.
