Vigorous, hardy, deciduous vine with bold-textured, bold deep green foliage that shows some fall colour. This American grape variety grows clusters of fragrant, greenish flowers in spring followed by medium-sized clusters of copper-red slipskin fruit. Catawba grapes are well suited for jellies and juices, and for sweet white, red and rosé wines.

Black rot, downy and powdery mildew, Japanese beetle, leaf hopper, mealy bugs.

Timing
Plant dormant, bare-root grape vines in the early spring.
