Lemongrass

$13.05

”Cymbopogon Citratus” – commonly known as West Indian Lemongrass – is mainly used for its medicinal purposes. This plant can grow up to 4′ tall and spread 3′ wide when grown in its ideal conditions: full sun exposure with well-draining soil.

In the fall, stalks can be cut (leaving about 6” attached to the bulbous roots) and frozen for culinary use through the winter. The salvaged roots can then be divided and potted to propagate over the winter for the next year. These should ideally be kept in a windowsill or in direct sunlight.
