Pea – Chickpea Black Kabouli

This pea variety got it’s name from it birthplace, the lands near Kaboul Afghanistan where it has been cultivated for generations. This pea variety is not a big climber, reaching only 2”. It is rather grown as a bush and its seeds are often kept as dry storage for the winter. Albeit they are delicious eaten fresh!
