Phaseolus vulgaris “Cobra”
Plant seeds 2-3 inches apart, 18-30 inches between rows.
Plant seeds 1/2 to 1 inch deep directly in soil.
Best in full sun, in soils with a pH between 5.8 and 6.5 that drain well.
Susceptible to rot, so sow seeds shallowly and in warm soils, and water early in the day. Other pests can be controlled by planting umbels nearby, and as a last resort, spraying the plant with pyrethrins and neem oil.
Plant seeds directly soil in late spring when the soil has warmed and there is no longer the threat of frost. Most successful germination is at 21-29°C (70-85°F).
Water regularly, and pick often to promote more growth.
