Candy peas. The whole sweet pod can be eaten fresh. Very few of these will make it out of the garden. Great raw in salads, or in stir fries. Vines grow to 2 m (6′)  and need trellising.

Best in full sun, but can handle some shade. pH around 6-6.5.

Keep an eye out for slugs and aphids. Pick off and destroy slugs; aphids can be sprayed off with a strong jet of water.

Timing
Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked as these plants prefer cool weather.

Growing
Just plant seeds and let vines climb up the trellis. Keep free of debris to keep slugs away. Snip off bottom leaves for the same reason.
