Pest Control – Ladybug: for aphids and other insects
Ladybugs can consume up to 50 to 60 aphids per day, but will also eat a variety of other insects and larvae including scales, mealy bugs, leaf hoppers, mites, and various types of soft-bodied insects. A single ladybug can eat 5 000 aphids in a lifetime. Adult ladybugs are red or orange with black spots. The larva looks like an alligator and eats more than the adult. The pupa look like immobile ladybug accordions attached to leaves. Eggs are yellow bumps on the end of leaves. Sold as a box of 1 000 adult ladybugs.
