This great tasting heirloom spinach has thick, succulent, dark-green savoyed or crumpled leaves that are very sweet in salads or cooked. Very fast growing plants with upright growth and high disease resistance. Remarkably cold and heat resistant, slow to bolt. Provides a heavy, continuous yield. Sow again in August to enjoy a fall harvest.

Timing
Seed as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring and every two weeks after that until late spring, as long as the weather is cool.  Sow again in mid to late August for fall crops.

Growing
Spinach is shallow-rooted and requires consistent moisture to prevent bolting.  Mulch after plants are well established to maintain moisture and suppress weeds.
