Honeyberry / Haskap – Borealis

Grows up to 3ft tall and wide. Can be grown directly in the ground or kept in pots! Planting in pairs or in groups is recommended nonetheless as it will increase pollination as well as fruit production. Honeyberry bushes grow well in almost any kind of soil and for this reason are a good alternative to blueberry bushes.

Small, funnel-like white flowers bloom in the early spring and give way to large, dark blue berries which ripen late spring to early summer. These honeyberries have a sweet flavour similar to blueberries and can be used for eating fresh, canning, in pies or in juices.
