Plant seeds 13 mm (½”) deep.
Full sun and cool weather. pH around 5.8-6.8.
Seeds will sprout in 5-7 days.
Watch for slugs. Pick and destroy.
Plant as early as possible in April. Radishes do not grow well in hot weather. For a fall harvest, plant in early September.
Thin plants to one per spot. Keep the area weeded and watered. Don’t leave them much past their harvest date. Old radishes are tough and pithy. Replant for a second harvest before the hot weather strikes.
