Millet – Limelight

Millet can be added to the garden for a plethora of reasons. Its stalk is sturdy and will grow upright up to 5ft which makes it a wonderful nature trellis for vining beans, cucumbers etc. It can also be grown ornamentally and is a beautiful addition to flower bouquets fresh and dried. Many pollinators will also be quite grateful for this plant all-throughout the season, especially the birds when the flower goes to seed. Lastly, you can even try and grow it for food! You’ll need a few plants to yield more than a meal, but it’ll probably be the freshest millet you’ll ever have.
